Sharing Violation - Files in use

I have a Win 2000 server and a mixture of Win XP Pro/Win
2000/Win 98se desktops. We have been having a problem with
Office files, Word, Excel, Publisher (XP), reporting a
sharing violation when we try to save a file after working
on it. This does not happen very often, about 4 or 5
times in a month, but it is a real pain. Any thoughts on
where the problem may lie?

Solved the issue. Someone had been checking "Archiving"
on the files, unchecked it and it works.
