Hi,

I am currently running Microsoft Small Business Server with outlook 2003. I have been able to share all inbox, calander and task files however, on one of our computers we have 4 folders in the Task Files does anyone know how to share these folders. I have given all permission etc. I just can't find where to open the files?

Thank
Lauren

To access a shared folder that isn't one of the folders listed on the File |
Open | Other User's Folder dialog, the mailbox owner needs to grant Reviewer
permission to the root of the mailbox, as well as appropriate permission on
the folder.

The user who needs access then goes into Tools | E-mail Accounts or Tools |
Services (depending on the Outlook version), brings up the properties for
the Exchange Server service, and on the Advanced tab, adds the mailbox.

For more information on folder permissions, with how-to screen shots, see
http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/permissions.htm

Sue,

This does work fine for folders in the Mailbox however I still can not open the Subfolders in the TASK folder. Is there a way to do this or is it just not possible?

Thank you for being so patient and helpful

Lauren

What works fine? The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not
quote earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on
detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking for. Please take
the time to quote the original message.

Basically, if you want to open something other than a default folder, you
need to add that mailbox to your Exchange service and the other person, of
course, has to grant you permissions both to the top level of the mailbox
and to each individual folder.
