Hi all,
I am trying to share a drive on our file server (win2000) to all
computers except a single one which customers use. I wish to gain
access from the customer computer only with a password. What would be
the easiest way to set it up? The other computers in the workgroup
range from win98 to xp.
Thanks in advance
Dave

Right-click on the folder you want to limit access. Select Security tab. Uncheck Allow inheritable permission from parent to propagate to this object. Under "You are preventing any inheritable permission from parent to propagate to this object. What do you want to do?" screen, select Copy to copy inheritable permissions. Remove everyone and any groups or users you don't want them access this folder while adding groups and users you want to have permissions to access the subfolder.
