Hi,i just network two computers, both running xp-pro,i'm
using a router. the only way that i can share resources
in both computers is by Disable the internet connection
firewall on my (LAN)connection, but i think that is not
safe, so i'll like to know if is a way that i can, Enable
that firewall and still be able to share resources and
communicate with the second computer. Thanks in advance!!

Yes, it is safe to disable the Internet Connection Firewall, and you
must do it to allow resource sharing on your network. Your router
acts as a firewall, protecting your computers from access by other
Internet users.

I've written a web page with details:

Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall
