Sharing resources on a microsoft network

I have a microsoft network setup at home
All computers running XP
On one I have a scanner that I would like to share
It is connected via USB port
I can not find how to share it (like I did with the disks and printer)
Right-clicking on the icon does not give me pop-up with the sharing choice
How is it done (if at all)?

A shared USB scanner is not a normal thing - mostly because scanners do
require physical interaction.

However, if you do a Google search for "scanner sharing", I am positive you
will find the software that does it - albeit NOT free.
