I want to share a program with another user on my
computer. I have moved the program file into my shared
files folder, but the 2nd user isn't able to access the
program, which is a pop-up blocker I downloaded off the
net. Is it possible to make the program work for both
users without downloading it again while logged on as 2nd
user?

Windows XP does not create a folder called Shared Files. The Shared
Documents folder is for data files (documents, spreadsheets, pictures, etc.)
not for programs. Programs should be installed into the Program Files folder
(most installers do this by default.) The simplest way to make a program
available to all users is to move the program's Start menu shortcuts into
the Start menu for All Users.

In addition to that, some programs have problems running under
multiple user accounts. If putting the shortcuts in the all users
start menu gives a problem in their accounts except your own, you'll
need to reinstall the program under their account to the same folder
that's installed under your account. It's a pita, but it'll do the job.
