I have a wireless system in the home using Netgear DG834G Router/modem and
Linksys cards. All can access the Internet fine.
Desktop runs XPPro.
Laptop #1 is Windows 2000 machine
Laptop #2 is XPPro
Printer is HP PSC 2200 All-in-one connected directly to the Desktop using a
USB connection.
I have run through the setup for sharing the printer on the Desktop and
named the printer. I gave all users full rights to the printer. The icon in
the Printer page shows the hand indicating it is shared.
With Laptop #1, I have also gone through the printer selection process by
right click on the printer in Printers & Faxes and indicating it is shared.
I have also used the Wizard to add a new printer. The wizard asks for the
name of the printer to be shared. I browze. I can see the printer connected
to the desktop. BUT, when I click on itI am given the following error
message: "Could not connect to the printer. Access is denied."
I am not at all sure what is occuring and could use help.
Thanks
