Sharing .PDF and .Zip files

I have a home network set up, on two XP Home machines , and I can move every
type of file except PDF's or ZIPs between the machines. I'm using a CD to
carry the files back and forth. Is there a way to implement the movement of
these files using file sharing?

There should be no problem in transfering .pdf or .zip files from one
computer to another. What happens when you try? If you get an error
message, quote the text of it. Are these particular files
password-protected?
