I have 2 questions here. One is I have a small office
that I support. It is just a basic network with three
pcs'. No server. It is a law office and the main pc is
the lawyer's pc. there are two secretary's that access
files from her pc. They want to use outlook for the
calander and contacts. Now how can I set it up so that
they can share the same calander and contact list?
Basically any of them can go in on any pc and update the
calander and contact list. That's what I'm trying to do.

Also on my home network I was wondering if this was
possible... I have an IPaq that was given to me. I've
only used it a few times. I am about to set up a network
at my home. I have basically 3 workstations (one is a
laptop) and will have two pc's set up as some sort of
servers. I plan to run xp pro on all workstations and am
not sure about the servers. I may just run xp on all. I
really don't need that much other than some file and print
sharing. But here's what I was hoping to do. With the
pda set it up on one main pc, say server A. Then sync
with server A and have it set up so that it either syncs
with all the pc's in the network or so I can set it to
sync when that pc logs in or share the same database on
all the workstations so it has that updated info.
Basically so it will stay the same no matter what pc I
access it from. Is this possible? Anyway I know this is
way long and I would really appreciate any info anyone
could give me!

Thanks in advance!
Glen.

I think MS will recommend MS Exchange Server (and this is the most
professional solution for the number of PC you have), however for info I
think the Pro version of osasync can also do something like this now.

Quote:
OsaSync PRO extends the OsaSync base version (which shares only Outlook's
contacts) and shares and synchronizes Outlook's Calendar, Tasks, Notes and
e-mail folders as well. You do not need Microsoft Exchange Server
End Quote:

I use MS Active Sync to sync contacts between my Pocket PC and my desktop
PC. At the same time I use osasync to sync contacts between my PC and my
wifes PC over the LAN. All seems to work OK. Both PC have a copy of the
contacts database so it doesn't matter if one is switched off.
