Sharing Outlook Calendar

I would like to share a calendar with my boss. We do not
have Microsoft Exchange. Would like to know more about
Exchange eg, cost and what you need to set it up. Is it
worth purchasing Exchange......can we share the files some
other way?

Can someone help?
