I have XP Home on the Host PC and XP Professional on one Client PC. They are successfully networked. The Host is successfully connected to the Internet and can access as required. The Client PC can see a good connection to the Host and also the connection from the Host to the Internet but cannot access the internet when the Host is fully operational or is switched off. Peculiarly, the Client can fully access the internet through the Host PC internet connection while the Host is in the process of switching off. I am baffled as to what is happening. Can anyone help me sort it out ?

sounds like DNS issue. to test, ping 4.2.2.1. if reply, ping yahoo.com. if
time out, check the DNS settings.
