I am trying to share a hard drive from one computer on my
home network to the next. I go to "My Computer" and
Tools and "Map Network Drive". I select the name of the
drive as
\\target computer name\C4
and log on as differnet user
target computer name\my log in name on that computer
my password on the target computer
the system tries and comes back claiming that
"The network folder specified is currently mapped using a
different user name and password.
To connect using a different user name and passwordfirst
disconnect any existing mappings to this network share."
I have only two drives mapped and neither of them is the
one I am trying to connect to. I pulled down the logical
drive letter list and none of the letters are assigned to
the drive I am trying to connect to. I am connecting to
another drive on the same machine successfully.
Anyone have a clue as to what to do to get the share to
connect?
Thanks
