Sharing Folders

I right click the "C" drive, choose "tools", then "Sharing". The setting is
"Share this Folder". The explaination is "Share This folder With Others On
Your Network".
I have no "Network" just a single user.
Is there a security risk by sharing drives and should I change the setting ?
Appreciate all responses.

If you only have a single user on your pc and dont use peer2peer file
sharing across the internet you do not need to share this drive (If you did
want to share a file it is not a good idea to share the root of your C: drive.

OK, am I at any risk since I'm online 24/7 ?? I do have a firewall.
 
Only if someone hacked your computer pretty unlikely. I wont ask you to
divulge into your private browsing habits but you do not need to share the
root of your drive. Hope this helps
