sharing folders and printers

New to the message board... I have a laptop and a PC w/
2000Pro. I am able to share folders and the printer on
the home PC w/ the laptop, but I'm unable to access the
shared laptop folders via the PC. The home PC sees the
laptop in 'My Network Places and Computers near me', but
when I attempt to open the icon for the laptop, I get a
message stating: 'An attempt was made to logon, but the
network logon service was not started'. I've checked
everything and looked on the web for solutions...I don't
know what is different or missing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello
Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools ->services and Start the "Net
Logon" service. This service is required for accessing the shared resources
on the network.
