Phillip

I have a small home network. I'd like to configure my
desktop to use the Internet Explorer Favorites folder
that resides on my laptop. Is this possible?

Thanks!

Yes, it is possible.

You can change the value of Favorites in the Registry in these
two keys: (ignore the second if the value is not there)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders

As Alan said.

In addition, see my note here:

Share your Internet Favorites with other systems in a Workgroup:

Originally written for Windows XP, but applies to Windows 9x systems except the Synchronization part.
