Can't make a lot of sense on ms help (surprise
surprise)... Does anyone know if it's possible to share a
scanner on a home network? (Two PCs running XP and one
laptop running ME - the scanner is connected to one of
the PCs through a USB hub). If so, how do I do it?

Cheers

Scanner sharing is only possible if the scanner manufacturer provides
software for that purpose. Windows doesn't have the built-in ability
to share a scanner.

Sharing a scanner isn't as useful as sharing a printer. You need to
be physically present at the scanner to operate it, so you're within a
few feet of the computer that it's connected to. You can scan images
into a shared folder on that computer and access the images from other
computers on the network.
