sharing databases on a network

This is not a network issue, but rather access issue. I
have access 2000. I put databases on my network drive.
If I am in certain databases, other's are locked out. I
remember there was a procedure in access to share. What is
it.

There's nothing you have to do to share a database. Your problem very well
may be a network issue. All users of a database must have Change access
(Read, Write, eXecute and Delete) on the folder where the MDB is located.

It is pretty basic but since you mention some do work, could the Default
Open Mode be selected as "Exclusive" rather than Shared (under
Tools/Options/Advanced)?
