Hi,

I need to set up a calendar for 2 departments to share. I know i can share
a personal calendar with others but this will be a general calendar. I can
set up a user/mailbox for the general share i guess but i would need to hide
it from "microsoft exchange address list' would that cause any proble? Is
that the best way?

Thank You,
Matt

you can either use a mailbox or a public folder. Hiding the address
shouldn't cause problems as long as the 2 users don't need to browse for it.

Hi Diane and thank you for your response.

I can share a folder but could I load the calendar program in it ?

The reason I was thinking mailbox is because it will use Outlooks calendar
interface which they are used to. Is it possible jsust to have a calendar in
there with no mailbox created to it? Is this somthing better with 3rd party
software?

Thanks

You can create a public folder of the Calendar type - its identical to the
one in a mailbox. if you use a mailbox, it will create all of the folder
types outlook uses. The one advantage of a mailbox is it can autoaccept
meeting requests.

While there is 3rd party software you could use, if you have exchange there
is little need for other software.
