Sharing an Excell Spreadsheet

I have two employees that need simultaneous access to an
excell spreadsheet, as they are both entering data for
most of the day. The spread sheet is located on our
windows 2000 file server and I am wondering what the most
efficient way of sharing this file is. Occasionally one of
the users will be given an error that the spread sheet is
locked and they are unable to make changes. I have Windows
2003 and am also wondering whether this operating system
will better manage the sharing of such files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The file locking is something that Office apps will do to keep multiple
users from editing the same stuff at the same time. They use a feature of
the file system, but this is really a case where the app is calling the
shots. You should probably ask this question on one of the Office
newsgroups. Someone there will be more likely to know Office
tricks/workarounds.
