Sharing Access DB Across Wireless Netowork

Have a two-computer peer-to-peer network thru a router using a wireless
adapter on the client computer to access the host computer. Having problem
with client computer user accessing the Access DB on which User-level
security has been run. User is fully defined and permitted to do various,
but not all, functions.

If user signs into the DB on the host computer, no problems. But...trying
to do so from client computer gets an error that 'resource network
permission' is not there and access is denied. Points to Host/Access DB as
the path it is looking at.

Can anyone help?? Thank you in advance.
 
An additional piece of information. I have this same Access DB configuration
set up on two other computers, both of which have Windows XP Home Edition.
The computers having the problem both have Windows XP Professional.
 
It doesn't sound like an Access user-level security error message, to
me. Have you googled on the exact text of the error message? Quote the
exact text here.

The exact message is:

\\Computer1\access is not accessible. You may not have permission to use
this network resrouce. The net work path was not found (or sometimes, Access
is denied).

I just googled and I cannot believe ALL of the problems people are having
with this particular effort. There must be something bascially incorrect in
the XP systems, both Home & Pro to have so many issues like this.

I will pursue several of the solutions presented by others and see what
happens. Thank you for your advice.

Does the user have full permission on that folder?

Also, Access (moreso than other applications) is very particular about the
quality of a network. It wouldn't surprise me that it would act up on a
wireless network.
 
Sorry I can't help more. As Joan says, /every/ user of the databasse
must have full read/write/open/delete/whatever access to the mdb file.
This is so that Access can create, write to & in due course delete the
associated .ldb file.

Gosh, I didn't notice the "wireless network" bit!

You might not get acceptable performance, even if you can get it
working :-(
