Sharing Access Database

I'm trying to share a database stored locally on a PC with
another user on a different PC. So, it's on a peer to peer
network. I've created a mdw file and created the short-cut
as mentioned in other posts.
If I open the file on the local box using the shortcut as
created, I can use either user name and password and have
full privileges. When I copy the short cut over to the
other PC and change the paths to point to the local box
above, it will prompt me for a user and password but tells
me it can only be opened as read only.

Any thoughts?

What permissions did you give the remote user to the *Folder* that the file
resides in? They need FULL permissions or they will be stuck with Read-Only.
