Sharing a secondary Calendar

Hello,

I'm having an issue, trying to share a Outlook Calendar. Sharing the regular
Calendar poses no problem, but in this case I have a secondary Calendar which
i would like to share with a couple of colleagues.

But all we seem to find is my primary calendar, and not the one intended to
be shared.

My question is: Is this possible, and if so, how do I accomplish this tiny
task?

I would guess that I somehow, in addition to setting the rights on the
calendar, need to publish it too, but I can't seem to figure out how to.

Very thankful for any assistance regarding this.

Best regards,
David

To access a shared folder that isn't one of the folders listed on the File | Open | Other User's Folder dialog, the mailbox owner needs to grant "folder visible" permission to the root of the mailbox and any other parent folders of the shared folder, as well as appropriate permission -- at least Reviewer -- on the shared folder itself.

The user who needs access then goes into Tools | E-mail Accounts or Tools | Services (depending on the Outlook version), brings up the properties for the Exchange Server service, and on the Advanced tab, adds the mailbox.

For more information on folder permissions, with how-to screen shots, see http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/permissions.htm and http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/preview.aspx?AssetID=HA011134811033

I seem to be missing something critical in these instructions. I want to
share a secondary calendar I created with a colleague and give her permission
to create and edit entries without giving her permission to edit my primary
calendar. I don't care whether or not she can view my primary calendar,
though she does not need to. When I've tried setting the permissions in the
primary calendar to view only, her permissions in the secondary calendar
default to view only. When I change the permissions in the secondary caledar
to editor, the permissions to the primary calendar also change to editor.
What step am I missing or what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

What version of Outlook and Exchange?

You just need to make the folder visible on folders in the path - they don't
need permission to view items in any folders except the one you are actually
sharing.
