I can share my removable (USB) MP3 player so I don't see why not.
I assume it is showing up in "My computer" like any other drive. Don't
you
get the share option in the right click menu?
Charlie
Thanks, i've checked but it's already disabled. The problem might be
that
it's a removable drive, i bought it separatly from the computer. Do you
know
if I can share that?
:
Administrative tools>local security policy>security options.
Restrict CD ROM to locally logged on users only might be set, it needs
to
be
disabled.
Then you need to have a user set up with the same credentials as your
XP
machine - I assume you already have this if other shared files can be
seen.
Not sure if this is the answer but worth a look at security policy.
Charlie
You share that drive the same as you share any other device or
folder -
right-click and select Properties, then the Sharing tab.
