Sharing a distribution list in Outlook 2003

This may be a dumb question. I want to share my Outlook 2003 distribution
list with someone else who also uses Outlook 2003. What is the quickest and
easiest way to do this. I saved it as a .txt file but it seems that's not
much use for the other user. Maybe I don't even need to go outwith Outlook?
Please advise. Thanks.

Create a Rich Text format message, address it to the other person, then
click Insert>Item, browse to the DL, select it, and click OK. Send the
message.
