Hello

I have the following problem with Outlook 2003 to which I cannot find a proper answer

I have two PCs, a desktop & a laptop
They are not (cannot be) connected to one another, nor do I use Exchange

The 2 most important things that I am interested in is how to synchronize the Calendar and the Contacts on both machines
Meaning
I'd like to be able to add/delete/modify addresses in Contacts or to add/delete/modify appointments on one of the 2 machines and having the possibility to "synchronize" the other machine
I managed to copy the latest modified pst-file (on one of the 2 machine) to a USB-key and to synchronize the other machine via the "import function" but I hope that there is an easier way to do so.

I am looking forward to your precious help
Geo

The easy way is to network the two, but you say 'cannot be' so there is no
easy way.

If you have email on both machines you can use Net Folders to synchronise
them.

Um, no he can't. NetFolders was last seen in Outlook 2000 and was
removed from versions after that. Looking at slipstick, I see that
there is a 3rd party product that does essentially the same thing, but
it costs ~$40

The removal of NetFolders is, imho, one of most egregious errors MS ever
made. It's *the* reason I haven't upgraded OL on my computer (even
though I have upgraded the rest of the office suite).

Hi everybody and thanks for the answers so far
I've done some trial & error things myself and I came to the following solution to my problem

I'd be grateful for every improvement that you can come up with

The *.pst file on both my desktop and my laptop is called "Outlook.pst
And inside that outlook.pst file everything is kept in " Personal Folders

And this is what I do to keep the "Outlook.pst" up-to-date on both machines

I copy the Outlook.pst file with the most recent information to a USB-key (or flash key

In Outlook, go to the File Menu/Import & Expor
A window is popping u
Choose for "Import from another program or file" and click the "next" butto
Another window is popping u
Scroll down to, and select "Personal folder file (.pst)
Click the "next" butto
In the new window that pops u
Hit the "browse" button and browse to the Outlook.pst file on the USB-ke
Select " Do not import duplicates
Click the "Next" butto
In the next window that pops u
Select "The folder to import from" = Personal Folder
Select "Include subfolders
Select "Import items to the same folder
Hit the "Finish" butto
Let your machine do the rest, and your Outlook.pst file be up to date
