Using SBS 2003 SP1, with Outlook 2007.
We use the Help Desk instance that Sharepoint exposes to manage tasks.
Rather than keep a separate browser window open on the desktop I have
created a folder in Outlook and then set the Home Page in Properties for the
folder to be the URL of the sharepoint page. I've set it to show the home
page by default for the folder. This folder is called "Sharepoint Tasks".
That works great - lets me keep the information to hand without having to
have another application open, and keeps it with the source of all my other
information.
BUT (there's always one of these) when I click on a link on the sharepoint
page I get an error message similar to:
Invalid page URL: outlook%3A%5FStore%2FSharepoint%25230Tasks
(outlook | Store | Sharepoint Tasks)
but when I dismiss the message it the follows the links.
So I guess that the questions are:
Can I avoid getting the "Invalid URL" message?
Is there another way of achieving the same thing?
Am I just expecting too much from Outlook?
Thanks in advance
