I appreciate your help on this

Do you see any toolbar buttons?

Click the Sample Event listing at http://www.xsolive.com/default.aspx
- you'll see an Outlook button on the toolbar on the full page version
of the calendar but not on the front page part.

the version of share point is 5.0.2.2614 and the version of outlook is 11.5608.5703

I appreciate your help on this

I also noted that on the link you gave me the help section says sharepoint 2.0 and My share point help front page just says sharepoint team service

If you have windows sharepoint services (WSS), the screen looks the same as
mine (well, it can be customized to look different <g>). If you have the
older sharepoint version, it doesn't have calendar sharing. The article you
read is for the new version.

A better question would probably be: do you know what operating system it's
installed on? WSS is Win2k3 only.
