the patch KB918899 make SharePoint Web Page impossible to modify

If you try to select the menu "Modify My Page -> Design this Page" and the
browser crash 85% of the time

after removed the KB918899 everthing is OK (but it's not a solution)

I'm waiting for the pacth KB923762 since august 22 (but I can't find it on
WSUS)

somebody have an other solution?

Is this what you are looking for - as posted by PA Bear.
If not then research in the wondowsupdate group

MS06-042 (KB918899) was re-released on 24 Aug-06 (for some Windows versions)

The re-released MS06-042 replaces hotfix 923762
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923762/) for WinXP SP1 and Win2K SP4.

Hotfix 923996 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923996/) remains available
for WinXP SP2 or Win2K03 SP1 (only).
