Shared scanner on network

I've just successfully network my Pcs via cable & it works fine including
sharing the one printer. Is it possible to share a scanner in the same way??
I dont see anywhere in control panel to help set up a scanner on a network.

It depends on the scanner. Network-capable scanners are usually many
thousands of dollars and are used in corporations.

You would need to search for and purchase some software to do that.
Windows doesn't provide any capability of that sort.
