We use Outlook for a shared folder for our company's marketing contacts. This is accessed by multiple users resulting in occasional error messages showing conflicts when more than one user updates a record. Is there a way to make Outlook more stable in a multi-user environment? Or do we need to migrate to a database like Access?

Outlook 2003 makes an effort to resolve conflicts itself if it can. But only
a database would give you record-locking.
