I have an Win2003 server, AD domain. There are several XP-Pro client
systems. A shared printer is on one XP system. Permission allow Everyone to
Print & Manage both Docs & Printers. From another XP system, logged in as
domain\admin_user I can print. Logged in as domain\std_user I can't. The
std_user can set up the printer i.e, Add Printer & set it's properties but
any attempt to print results in the queue showing Error Printing. The same
if the user is logged on to the server (to test this).
How do I find what the error is?????
Printer Server properties are set to log errors. Event viewer only shows a
warning - drivers updated or color profile files updated.
I even tried adding the user to the Administrators group just to see if that
was it - still couldn't print. Created a new std_user & am getting the same
nonsense.
Suggestions? Pointers to documentation to help figure this out?
TIA,
Dale
