I have a new computer that came with Vista Home Ultimate installed.
I'm trying to connect over my wireless network to an Epson 1410 printer that
is connected via usb to an Acer netbook that came with XP Home.
I have installed the printer driver on both computers.
I have set the printer to "shared"
I have enabled printer sharing on the Vista machine.
The network is set to "Private" on the Vista machine.
Network Discovery is enabled on the Vista machine.
When I run the "Add Printer" wizard, the printer is detected.
When I select the printer, I get an "Access Denied" message.
I have done some research and found that this is a known issue when the pc
connected to the printer is running
XP Home.
Other than trying to connect with User Access Control turned off (which
didn't work) I haven't found a solution.
I had no trouble connecting to this printer from my previous computer that
was running XP Pro.
Any ideas?
Thanks
