Angus
Hello
I have 2 PC's both running Windows XP Professional SP2.
On one machine I have shared a folder and given the everyone group Full
Control. In the Security tab I have given 'Everyone' Full control too.
Both computers are in same workgroup. I have logged into the other PC as
Angus with no password. On PC with shared folder there is also a user
called 'Angus' with no password.
But I cannot access the shared folder. It keeps throwing up the logon
dialog.
In Windows Explorer if I click on My Network... Entire Network.. Microsoft
Windows Network then click on my workgroup name I see the remote
computername but when I click on it get message:
AngusDesktop is not accessible. you might not have permission to use the
network resource. contact the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permissions.
Logon failure: user account restriction. Possible reasons are blank
passwords not allowed, logon hour restrictions, or a policy restriction has
been enforced.
The remote computer has a fresh install of XP so I haven't changed anything
from default.
Any help would be much appreciated.
