when I tried to access drive mapped to a shared folder from a XP Pro pc
named myPC1 from a w2000 pro pc, I got
---------------------------
My Computer
---------------------------
\\myPC1\w is not accessible.
Not enough server storage is available to process this command.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
I verified that temp storage for the user ID, system, administrators are not
part of the problem at the w2k pc.
I also verified that the myPC1 has sufficient storage (system drive 30% free
(5GB) and the corresponding ID has no problem with its home directory nor
temp path. In other word the myPC1 seems function normally with respect to
disk storage
both PC have the latest security patches . the mapped rives to the myPC1
had been working for a long time until the last security updates.
I rule out firewall by turning off all firewalls on the PCs and network
after disconnecting the LAN from internet
from the w2k pc, I can ping the myPC1 and get proper responses, as well as
the other way around
what else have I missed?
