Shared Files Show as Read-only from Remote PCs

We recently upgraded 3 PCs in our church office to Win XP
Pro.
We have them configured as a peer-to-peer network. Since
the upgrade, shared Word, Excel and Publisher files
produce a "File/folder is read-only" error message when
we attempt to save them from a remote PC on the network.

Knowledge Base article 328170 describes this problem and
gives a "workaround" fix and a permanent fix. The
workaround fix did not work.

We want to know how to obtain a copy of the updated
version of "shell32.dll" listed as the now supported
permanent fix.

Please help. This is a major issue with the church staff.

The article itself describes how to get the fix - you
need to call Microsoft support.

If your problem is fixed by getting that fix, they will
not charge you (also mentioned in the article if you need
it).
