I want a group of users to have a shared set of IE
favourites. I envisage putting a shortcuts in a folder on
a network share and these appearing in each user's
favourites alongside their machine/profile specific
favourites.
Pointing the favourites folder to the share by editing
user shell folders in the registry replaces the users'
favourites - I want the shared favourites to be available
*in addition* to each user's personal favourites.
The only way I can think of doing this is by using a batch
file called from a logon script to copy the shortcuts from
a network drive to each user's machine, but it seems
inelegant and upsets network admins if I alter logon
scripts (exasperated sigh at internal politics that mean I
can hack apart the registry on each machine but not alter
a logon script!)
Anyone got a solution?
