I have created separate accounts for my wife and myself.
When I download email, she cannot see it in her account
and vice-versa. How can we see the same mail even if the
other account downloaded it first?

You don't give any info regarding your email server or client so here are
some global alternatives:

Configure your email client to leave email on server, or
Use your isp's webmail client which automatically leaves read email on the
server, or
Use an IMAP cilent and server, or
Create an individual account for each of you, and
There are probably other methods requiring the configuration of filtering
rules so that downloaded email is copied to her/your client mailbox
 
Need more info.

1. Do you have separate logons to the system or do you use
the same one?
2. Do you have separate email accounts (i.e.
(e-mail address removed) and (e-mail address removed)) or do you share
one (i.e. (e-mail address removed)).
3. I assume you are using Outlook or Outlook Express?
