Shared E-mail Folder

Hi,
A colleague an I are sharing an E-mail Folder (receiving e-mails to this
shared account)...but we are unable to see who's dealing with who and which
had been actioned and which hadn't.

Please could anyone advise how we can mark the "received" items sothat both
of us are simultaniously aware of the actions?

Do you both work within the other mailbox?
or
Do you have the email sent to both of you and you work from your
own mailbox(s)?

Do you use the Exchange Server?
