shared documents

I have dragged folders to the shared documents on my pc
and now I can't access them. If I check the properties it
now shows 0 files. If I copy a folder to the shared
documents I can still access the files. Is there a way to
recover the information in the folder I dragged into
shared documents?
 
Your profile may be corrupt and Windows created a new one. Look for an
orphaned profile in;
\Documents and Settings
