My wife and I both have MSN accounts, and we have shared calendars, so
that I can see all the events she adds to the calendar, and
vice-versa. We'd like to do this in Outlook, using the Outlook
connector.

The connector works fine for my MSN email, but when I look at my
calendar in Outlook I see only my own appointments, not the ones that
my wife added. Is there some way to work around this? All I want is a
shared calendar in outlook....

Thanks for any help,

David Epstein

Outlook Connector doesn't fetch items of shared calendars
automatically. you need to configure it. Follow the instructions below

1. Create a contact in the contacts folder of 'MSN Mailbox ..' store.
Set the Email field of this contact with your wife's email address
2. Go to File->Open->Other User's Folder
a.Click on 'Name'
b. Choose 'Contacts in <your emailid>' in the 'show names from
the:' drop down
c. Select your wife's contact in the list and hit OK
3. Choose 'Calendar' in Folders drop down
4. hit OK

If you are in Outlook 2003 you can see your wifes calendar side by
side to yours. (check the left pane of the calendar view)
If you are in Outlook XP then your wifes calendar will open up in a
new window.
Your wife's calendar will get added to the cached list in File->Open
menu so that you need not do all the steps above in the future

Let me know if this works

Thanks very much! I had been trying to do that myself, but hadn't
quite got it right.

So, I can now see both calendars side-by-side, which is better than
before. What I'd love, of course, is to combine the information from
both calendars into a single calendar, but since you didn't suggest
that, I assume it's impossible.

But thanks, thanks, thanks for your help.
