Shared calendar issues Outlook 2003

I have a user that schedules appointments for 7 sales people through each
persons shared calendar. The scheduler can click on one particular sales
persons calendar and schedule an appointment, then unclick it and go someone
else's calendar and add a appointment, then click back to the original sales
person's calendar and then gets a busy/free error message. The only way the
schedular can see his calendar again is to close outlook and restart it. Has
anyone else seen this?

They are not using cache mode I unchecked that on all partys involved. The
exchange is 2003 with latest service pack installed. They are using the
calendar for much more than just meetings, the main scheduler uses it to
organize the sales team and keep them up to date.
