I am having a problem with my left shared boarders
pointing to my hard drive after being published to a
server with front page extentions. does it have someyhing
to do with how i open my files?

Could be, are you always opening a web (File Menu | Open Web) before working
on your web content?

dialog box. i then clicked on a file name to open a page
made a change in the left shared border closed the file ,
said yes to save changed and the plublished and still had
the problem. Any ideas?

After making your changes, do Tools | Recalculate Hyperlinks and see if that
helps.

Hi Bob,

Are you opening a web first? If not then all links will be absolute links
pointing to your HD.

I had this problem too when dealing with the hyperlinks menu in FP 2002.
Clicking the page twice in the hyperlinks menu tells FP that you're
directing the link to the file on the hard drive. Clicking it once and FP
knows to link within the published web. Click the page once and it takes a
moment for the link to appear in the hyperlink menu. This kept throwing me
with my first web. When the link didn't appear I double clicked. Thus all
of my links referred back to my hard drive.
