How can I set up a share that does not prompt for ANY
authentication on just a Workgroup network?
Allowing ANONYMOUS LOGON full rights doesn't even work.
What I'm trying to do is use a UNC path to a share on a
Win2K workstation that's hosting some CDs for a program.
Even if EVERYONE/ANONYMOUS LOGON are allowed full rights,
if you try to access the share manually from another
machine, it prompts for a logon.
If I create user accounts manually that match each other
workstations' local accounts, it works fine.
It would definitely work if we had a MS domain/Active
Directory set up, but we're currently a Novell shop.
Any ideas? I don't want to have to go a login script net
use drive-letter mapping batchfile route if I don't have
to. Thanks
