share violation

I created a database that is shared by 5 to 7 people. It was working fine
when it was just me using it but when other people started to use it, we
would get sharing violations. I set each persons access programs to allow
for sharing but this still did not solve the problem. Any suggestions?
Also, how many people will Access support?

Split the database, so each user has their own copy of the front end.
