I have a small network with 2 PC's but one computer can't share the
files, when I try to connect in my network places i seen a small
windows who asked a login and a password (it is the same that I can see
when you connect to your livebox), I tried "administrator" etc but it
doesn't work
(I disabled the firewall).

Thanks

Johnson,

Is this question anyhow related to XP Embedded product?
If not, you may want to post to microsoft.public.windowsxp.general newsgroup.

Hi,

With regard to what Johnson said, i beleive that he is right.
I have the same issue on Windows XP Embedded. Although the built in image
System was able to see other local network computers, the other PCs couldn't
see the embedded System.
I have tried for many hours to give a solution and the only thing i managed
is to make the shared folder of Embedded system available in the Internet
Forder of Network Places in the other PC. However my intention was to make
the shared folder of embedded system available to the local network folder of
Network places in the other PC. The reason i want to do this is to manage
remote desktop connection through PCAnywhere.

And here is the question: What settings should be enabled to have the Shared
Folder in Local Network of the other PC and not in the Internet section.

It is really a mess.So i would be at least apriciated to help me because i
need it immidiatly in my job.
If someone wants further information,i would be gratefully give them to him.

Thanks in Advance

Agelos,

What is the firewall status on your target system?
What is the image based on - SP1 or SP2? Doe sit have Minlogon or Winlogon included? What kind of shell do you use?

Also, to simplify sharing, please set the following key:
[HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa], "forceguest"=dword:1
