Hello,

I'm trying to set my Windows XP pro to share internet
connection with no success.

I can share files easily and all settings looks ok:
1. On internet connection ETH card I enable sharing
2. On 2nd ETH card the automatic setup sets:
IP: 192.168.0.1
SUB: 255.255.255.0
3. On client the everything is set to be done
automatically, and the results are:
IP: 192.168.0.189
SUB: 255.255.255.0
DEF GTWY: 192.168.0.1

From client > Ping 192.168.0.1 is perfect !

I have full access to the XP (the host PC) shared
directory, can read and write easily.

I can't make IE reach any address, either by name or by
specific IP.

Is it possible at all or the answer is that XP can't
serve WIN2000 for sharing internet connection ?
What is the trick to do that ?

Thanks,
Ofer

Yes this is possible and should be working if the ICS service is started.
Make sure that the Internet Connection Sharing service is started (and set
to automatic) on the XP machines.
