Share folder inaccessible on same domain

I am in a corporate network trying to share a folder to
mycoworker who's on the same domain.

After setting sharing permission giving "Full Control",
my coworker still get a error prompt saying the folder is
inaccessible.

Both of us are on WinXP.
Do I need to assign my coworker's user account to a User
Group on my computer?

File sharing seems to be easier on Win2K.

thanks in advance. terry

Firewall off/properly configured?
Simple File Sharing off?

we do have firewall but both computer is in the same
domain and same location. the firewall should have no
effect.

All file sharing is config as the way it's on w2K.
Using "Sharing & Security" --> Give user "Full control".

Having the firewall (Windows XP firewall) on WILL affect File and Printer
sharing, to a point that it doesn't work. Admittedly, having a corporate
firewall will not, as long as you are both behind it, but if you have the
Windows XP firewall on, you will not be able to share files unless you turn
it off or configure it to allow File & Printer sharing.

That should get you going.. You will, as I stated, have to disable simple
file sharing (should be done if you are a member of a domain and not a
workgroup) and make sure either your Windows XP INTERNAL firewall is off or
configured for File & Printer sharing.

Greetings --

Wrong. WinXP's built-in firewall is not designed to be used on
internal LAN connections. The _only_ connection on which you should
have ICF enabled is the direct connection to the Internet.
