Our LAN has a 2003 Std. server ADC and several XP PRO workstations. The point is that only those shares defined at the server local disks can be accessed from the workstations.
If a share is defined at any workstation (Even with all access permissions for <Everyone>) nobody can open it, not even the <Administrator> working from the server console.
Browsing <Entire Network> and clicking on the workstation icon will get a prompt for alternate credentials (User and password).
Using a shortcut to \\workstation\share_name gets same results.
As said, if the shared folder is at the server machine everything works as expected.
