Shape effects appear on screen but do not print or or appear when converted
to PDF files. I use hand outs as sales material and send all my Powerpoint
material as PDF files.

Can someone please help me solve this problem.

Do the shapes have animations applied to them? If you remove animation does
it solve the problem?

Try setting printing to "High Quality" in Office Button | PPT Options |
Advanced.

As for the PDF thing, how are you making the PDFs? I've had better luck
maintaining transparencies and such using the Office XPS/PDF download as
opposed to the Adobe Acrobat printer driver.

There are no animations on the shapes or the slides. The shapes are typicaly
drop shadows on boxes and pictures.

Reseting the PPT Options did not solve the problem.

Currently I use ScanSoft PDF Create 4.

I did not have either of these problens with earler versions of PPT

Thanks

Jeff

Well, sorry you have these issues now, but you might try the XPS/PDF
download from http://office.microsoft.com

Microsoft XPS/PDF worked! Thanks

Your fix was a good idea and temporaly fixes the problem but it highlights
one of microsofts underlying problems, compadability with other software:ie
scansoft.

Thanks again.
