Shape effects won't print as they look on the screen.

I'm trying to create a new logo for my company and any shape effects I add
are not printing out at all. This happens in Word and PowerPoint. I have
Windows Vista and I'm stumped.
 
If you go to Office Button | <application> Options, change the printing to
High Quality. That should take care of it.
